Servicing

Mobile car servicing

Servicing is scheduled maintenance: replacing the consumables that wear out on a time or mileage interval, and inspecting the parts that don't get replaced. Doing it on time is the cheapest way to avoid the repairs that come from not doing it.

We arrange mobile servicing across London and anywhere inside the M25, and a little beyond if you ask. The mechanic comes to your driveway, street parking or workplace car park, so the car isn't off the road for a day and there's no waiting room involved.

Anywhere within the M25 — and if you're a little bit outside it, we'll still make the effort to reach you.

When to book a service

  • The service interval in your handbook or on the dash is due
  • You've bought a car with no recent service history
  • Oil life or service reminder message has appeared
  • The car is going in for an MOT and you want the basics right first
  • High mileage since the last oil change, especially on short London journeys
  • You're preparing the car for sale and want the history brought up to date

Interim service

The lighter of the two, usually done between full services or on higher-mileage cars. It generally covers:

  • Engine oil and oil filter replacement
  • Fluid level checks and top-ups — coolant, brake fluid, screen wash
  • Tyre condition and pressure check
  • Brake, lighting and wiper checks
  • A visual inspection of belts, hoses and obvious leaks

Full service

A deeper scheduled service, typically annual. In addition to the interim items it commonly includes:

  • Air filter and cabin/pollen filter replacement
  • Fuel filter and spark plugs where the schedule calls for them
  • A more thorough inspection of suspension, steering and exhaust condition
  • Battery condition and charging system check
  • A written report of anything found that needs attention

Parts and specification

Tell us the make, model, engine and rough mileage when you book so the right filters, oil grade and plugs are on the van. Manufacturer schedules differ significantly, and the correct oil specification matters on modern engines.

When a workshop or recovery is still the right call

Some servicing items aren't practical outside a workshop — gearbox oil changes on sealed units, DPF forced regeneration, timing belt replacement and anything needing the car lifted properly. Environmental rules also matter: waste oil has to be contained and taken away, so the mechanic needs somewhere reasonable to work. If your parking situation won't allow it, we'll say so before booking.

We'll either get you back on the road, or our experienced mechanics will give you a solution.
